Its a bit low. Sport bikes usually get crappy mileage anyway. It should get about 30 if you are easy on the throttle and it is not broken. Get it tuned and checked out by a competent PROFESSIONAL Suzuki Mechanic.

I have a 2004 GSXR 750 due to the engine design and how these bikes like to be ridden at high rpms you are going to burn gas quickly. if you shift early and keep the rpms down the gas mileage will improve. The focus of these bike is to be as quick as possible with gas milage being 2nd.

I don't think it is that uncommon. You probably don't baby it all the time seeing as it is a sportbike. I got about 27 mpg on a 2004 GSXR 600 but I rode it like it was made to be rode. Wheelies use alot of gas if you do any of that.

All depends how you ride, If you are a full throttle guy, like the wheelies, and do top end runs then yes, you can expect that low milage. If not then your are in need of a major tuneup with air filter, and if thats done and still having this problem you might want to lose a few pounds..........LOL

That would also depend on your riding style. If your hard on the throttle a lot your MPG will go way down...but 22 MPG is low even for that.

that sounds really low, it should be around 36.1mpg depending on how you ride it, what year is your bike, and is it the anniversary addition?
