Yes they are a complete waste of time. How can anyone tell what 1/12 of the world is going to do on the same day? You can't. If anyone looked back at their horoscope and they thought 'oh wow, that did happen' then they should also read the other horoscopes and see how much of them are true. Horoscopes are only right because they're vague.

Aren't asking this question just a waste of time?
It's not as if there is any real meaning to this and the answers are really vague.

Daily horoscopes are crap as they worked out from the position of the earth in relation to the sun. Astrology on the other hand is a lot more accurate as it takes into consideration the sun and all of the other planets in our solar system from the very moment that you were born. This is called a natal chart (also known as a birth chart).

I was cynical about astrology and horoscopes until I read my mum, dad and sisters birth charts a couple of years back and it described them so acurately that I couldn't deny it. It was amazingly acurate, and it was worked out using a computerised analysis, so the program must of had its limitations! I definately think that there is 'something in it' but I couldn't explain how.

The company that did the charts are called AskOriel.

I can do a quick reading in 5 mins, given the place and time of birth and have amazed a lot of people ------- it is completely individual, you have less chance of havin an identical chart to another person (even twins) than you do of winnin the lottery, there are that many permutations...

I prefer to do a natal chart reading, which shows what character traits you have -- going into the realms of progressing a chart to 'foresee the future' can be accurate but too much work considering there are only trends, really and you, yourself can ALWAYS over-ride your basic tendencies if ya wana

Only you can decide the course of your life, astrology doesn't really offer to do that.

Yes, it's the dumbest thing ever. People say a sign determines your personality, but what does the position of the Earth around the sun when you're born, have to do with personality and outcomes in life?

It's okay, and mildly entertaining at times. But I have to say, one time my friend showed me a book of American Indian animal signs or something like that, that was sort of like a horoscope-based on your birthday- and I swear, everyone that read theirs said it was "right on"! Mine was.
So if you ever get the chance, check that out. It's pretty cool.

But isn''t this like a form of faith to some people?
Some people like to live their lives by them as they believe in the universe and fate and that there is something bigger out there.
Don't knock it as you can't disprove it and its not harming anybody!
