No, the Lakers would not have been 0-82. At the NBA level, all of the players are so good, that they would have at least partially compensated for Kobe not being there. Lamar Odom, Smush Parker, and even Kwame Brown would have stepped up. I believe they would have won about 28-32 games without the Kobe-ster.

Without Kobe, the Lakers would have made the playoffs.
It's called the A-Rod effect. It happens in every sport.
When a team loses a superstar-calibre player, the rest of the guys on the team step up to fill the need.
Not to mention without Kobe, there would have been another 30 shots a game to go around in the Laker offense. Some other guys would have scored a lot more.

without Kobe the lakers win about 14 games. Lamar Odom doesnt have the heart to carry a team. He plays hard and than his brain just shuts down. Kobe bryant was the ultimate team player last year and we will see improvement next year. Most of these people that answer hate the Lakers because we have dominated for so long while their franchise is still rebuilding.

Kobe's not the Lakers. There's a difference between a player and a team. He just gets all the publicity for being the best on a team that stinks, and being one of the best players out there. It takes 12 people to make a team. Kobe's only 1.

No. Kobe Bryant is a very good basketball player, but there are other players on the Los Angeles Lakers that can help their team win.

No, but with him they are no better than a lower tier playoff team. He will never be a dominant player unless he learns that he is not the whole game. The days of the lakers being a finals contender are over.

Not really. Sure without Shaq he is the only thing keeping them togeather but they have some all right players. But without Kobe they would not have made the playoffs.

no because, phil jackson is one of the greatest coaches in the league and he isnt going to let his team go out like that, and also the lakers still have a great team, they might not make the playoffs but they'd get real close
