Instead of emailing me, he's now moved on to blogs, posting my picture and full name, telling people where I live, and trying to make me look bad.

I'm interested in what others have to say.

dude... this is kinda rough... i guess you probably know the dude. If I were in your shoes i would let him be, keep my integrity and wouldn't let him see that I am annoyed, keep an attitude that says "this is exactly what I would have expected from people like you", let him get annoyed that you're not annoyed, eventually he will get bored (depending on his character that could take a week or a month, or until he finds someone else that gets annoyed by what he does). On the other hand, if you already let him see you're angry... that's another story... you could "get to the mattresses" and it wouldn't be hard if you knew him, you'd know what that means, if you don't know him than talk to the admins of a forum that he posted a message, every message posted leaves some info on the computer, IP, and eventually the user and they would know how to track him. Hope I helped you in some way and wish you good luck.

If you have the money, contact a lawyer. It will be shut down very quickly. you are saying cyberstalker, which I assume means he does not know where you live.

If he does, you need to get the police involved.

If he does not know who you are, or where you really live, and you cannot afford a lawyer, and you have some geek friends, let them know about. They will take that web site out.

1. Report this to the local police
2. ALSO you can report this to the FBI . . .they are big into cyber issues
3. Its annoying but you need to Change your phone numbers and *dread* if you can move.

People like this are serious and need to be taken as such. The police cant protect you all the time. You must be proactive in dealing with this situation. Unfortunately this wont just go away.

good luck

Start a log of every incident of stalking then take all the evidence you have and take it to the police. Hopefully they have a cyber crime unit that they can refer you to locally.

Another option may be finding out who this person is and trying to get a restraining order put on them, or try suing them. Talk to a private investigator and ask them for suggestions.

if you don't know who their are I don't think you can do much.
I suggest you wait, and they will get bored not seeing a reaction and will proceed to the next victim.
If you do know (or you can find) who they are you have more options. If they live in US, and the accusation of stalking is on solid grounds, I believe you can sue them.
good luck
