This isn't a question; this is a declaration. Have you heard all the rap and hip-hop ever created? Then how can you condemn one genre of music as a whole? Nobody with an opposing view point even has a chance in your question. Maybe all the rap and hip-hop you've been exposed to is the commercially viable junk on the radio. Try listening to socially relevant 80s rap and hip-hop and expand your tastes.

Have you ever thought that maybe you just don't understand what they're talking about. You should try it some time. Also, some of the people that left answers seem to be very prejudice, using they and them in there answers. Who is them or they Bentworth78 and proudcaucasion?

It wasn't too bad when if first came out, but it has gotten really bad. They are singing about all kinds of bad stuff, I guess they don't know or don't care that it is ruining our society.
But money matters more than our kids and society, right.
Even Heavy Metal is better for our kids than rap music.

No, I wouldn't say it hate rap and hip-hop...
I would say I ******' LOATHE rap and hip-hop. I DESPISE rap & hip-hop. They make me want to puke sulfuric acid. I would rather pass a wire coat-hanger through my small intestines than listen to ******' 50 Cent talk about how ******' cool it is to be a ******' gangster and or hear some other ******' illiterate hood talk about what brand of car he drives! It's not even music! Rap & hip-hop is a malignant tumor on the testicle of society!
But, no, I wouldn't say I hate them.

I like just about all music. Hip Hop is kewl I think, but Rap is just ok, some styles don't do it for me...
