I have an ipod with the wheel and the 4 buttons above it that my brother gave to me for Christmas and the battery is wearing down really quickly, and if I put it on lock for a long period of time it will be out of battery when i turn it back on. Any comments?

sounds like a bad battery...try letting it totally discharge before you recharge it. If that doesn't work, then you will probably need a new battery (which is almost as expensive as getting a new ipod). if you can't get a new battery, lots of stores offer accessories that will let you plug it in, etc.

Depends how much the ipod cost and the cost of the battery. if the battery is the same price as a memory card for digital cameras, it's not worth it. Just get rid of the ipod and the battery. Digital cameras are more fun, and harmless, anyway.

yes it is. you can go to www.laptopsforless.com. they sell battries for ipods and there only like $15.00. it comes with a tool and a manuel. also always keep the ipod battery charged. and only charge it when the bar is half empty.

it depends on what kind you have. That generation had weak batteries altogether and I upgraded because I had similar problems and like my new one much better. What Christmas was that because they stopped making that generation a while ago...
