People are bad because of sin. No one is perfect because of sin. Sin entered the world with Adam in Eve in Genesis. The only way to be at peace with yourself is to believe in Jesus Christ and ask him to forgive your sins. You can not stop the sins of others, but you can control your own. And this will help make the world a better place.

As humans we are all born into this world with emotional needs. Most parents are capable of meeting the needs of their children. But we are all only human. As such, we are not perfect. Some parents fail to meet the emotional needs of their children. In some cases, this results in human beings who grow up lacking something. These people are usually completely unaware that this is what has happened, but inevitably there is a deeply seeded resentment that varies in intensity depending on the nature of the unmet needs. Some people internalize their resentment for years. Others let it out by doing bad things.

There is no simple answer (despite the foregoing). People are sometimes bad because they have learned that they can profit - as in "gain food, shelter, comfort, pleasure, safety" - from badness.
Good and bad are learned concepts. What is good one place, may not be good in another. In situations of anarchy (literally "without rules"), individuals have no model for good and so do what "feels good", what "profits" them.
Punishment is not fun. It can and must be swift, painful (not fatal, but painful), and certain. If you are bad, you get a spanking. Ouch. Now you know.
People are bad in increasing numbers today because fuzzy-mindedness has turned prisons into air conditioned colleges of corruption and crime, because families have lost the ability to discipline their own children, because bad people are seldom caught, and even more seldom punished.
That's why people are bad.

Thank You, you are the first person to say People and not Humans, be are because they want to be, humans, again being perfect cant be bad, humans represent us all as an entity, people divide us, the Jewish people, the black people, the gay people, these all separate us as humans, so that we may disregard other as being Human, because its easies to say you killed a Jew, than to say I killed another human, because then your taring into yourself then, because we are each other a, Human Being, or even something more, but when you say people, you start to take away from the greater group and dismiss them as something less, but because I live in a world, that see people and not Humans, it becomes hard for me to want to do whats right, and be Human so its easier to do wrong when you disregard the true Being, that we are.

Many time I hear Bush say the Iraq people, and the Iraq people saying Americans, but if they said Humans they would be forced to think about what they are doing

People aren't bad. Some people choose to do bad things. We live in a fallen world. When Adam and Even chose to eat of the forbidden fruit, they brought sin into paradise. Ever since then, we have had to deal with the effects of having a sinful nature.
We can choose, however, to NOT sin, even when we are tempted to by our human nature.

When i did something inappropriate as a kid i got a spankin. My parents would feel bad, they figured i was to young to really know what i done wrong, so they would buy me something i really wanted.
So that is why people get bad, they search for that reward and sometimes they don't get it so they get worse, least i think thats why people go bad.

a life lived in a quest for the fulfillment of desires (i say desires not necessities) is that which makes a person bad. the person searching only for what will suit him, will have no care for how these desires are obtained. he/she will hold no care for what harm this will cause another, this persons soul is tainted and corrupted. This is why a person is bad.

Different reasons. Some just plain born evil. Others learn it. Environment and circumstances. Mental problems.

Its a defense mechanism. The individual you may think to be bad, might be an absolute wimp when it comes to something else.
