Sorry...I do not have the answer.
But here's some ideas that might lead you to a definitive answer.

Consider the word "life" and delete the "L" and "E".
You are left with "if", a word that is as ambiguous as it is questioning.
We're born without a road map or a manual in which to go by during our short years here on earth.
Life isn't meant to be that simple for humans.
Being anything less would mean we would have been given natural instinct instead of free will.

Life is like a river which starts out as trickle high in the mountains.
It grows bigger, wider and stronger on its journey to the sea.
That river is each of us.
That sea is whatever final destination we perceive - be it heaven, hell, the great beyond or simply, a Big Mac and a side of fries.

Some of us pollute that river.
Some of us dry up long before we're suppose to.
Some of us stray off course due to whatever quake rocks our world.

Look - set your own course...chart your own destiny.
I guarantee that "Life" is what happens when you're making other plans.
It always has...it always will.
Just remember to stop and smell the roses, help the stranger and feed the child along your way.
Those acts of kindness will become YOUR life.

If you can tell me the meaning of non-life or death, then you did understand the life.

Put it this way, Collect a bag of rocks and sand, leave it at a place and if the whole collection in the bag starts doing things on its own then it is life. When that collection further starts putting other bags of similar things with the knowledge that it itself will become a non moving, non reacting bunch of rocks and sand then it is really life.

Take your pick:
To replicate and pass on your genetic material.
To be happy in the moment.
To live life with enthusiasm and be real.

Be nice to people and helpful. It's to easy to have a bad attitude and think your cool or act like you don't care. A person who tries hard earns respect and has nothing to be ashamed of or anyone to impress because you only need to impress yourself.

Be strong and know you are right. Don't take any easy ways out.

The meaning of life is to feel emotions

Then die but without death there could be no life & if we were all imortal there would be nothng that we'd really feel, we'd just kinda exist.
