It's just to mess with the minds of men... another thought along this line is why is ok on the beach to wear the thong swimsuit, but they wont show the thong underwear unless you have a video camera and call it "Girls gone Wild".

Because a bikini top was made to wear on the beach with nothing over it, and especially because you are going into the water. Where as a bra was made to wear under a top, especially because it is not suppose to be worn into the water (but there are exceptions). Besides you guys are use to seen women in bikini tops all the time I would think it sexy to see them in a nice laced bra, I she was your girl would you want every guy out there staring at her boobs, Mind me it can be very interesting for guys at time to hear other guys calling to their girl knowing that he is the one tapping' that ***.

There is a time and a place my friend. The beach is a place where you are allowed to wear a bra-like bikini in public. City streets, public trains, planes and buses are not. Where are you from?

Hm, a bikini top is called a bra. I guess it is taste. I mean a regular bra is not as attractive as a bikini top is.

I wouldn't want to take my shirt off and leave my bra on either. It's degrating...but at the same time...when we go to a beach we're not looking at it as a degrating thing. It's expected something that's expected to be seen at the beach. But anywhere else...is almost mind boggling.

I honestly don't know its a question that has plagued me for ages. Maybe its the concept.... I mean your bra is intimate apparel, and so for some they see it as more revealing than a bikini top.

a bra is a functional piece of clothing not for display, as a bikini top is both but also designed for display

I do it. I always say to my husband "the bra is equally revealing as the swimsuit- so who cares?" Same reason as to why I wear my bra and underware in front of my extended family and friends- it's the same as a swimsuit!!! Lingerie and other stuff is for the bedroom not your regular lacy bra and panties!

duuuuhhhhh.....because it is PERMISSIBLE to wear bikini top at the beach....but it IS EXHIBITION to expose your bra in public....
