That's creepy! Are you sure there were only three digits and it was a call? That doesn't sound right. I know there are phone numbers with those digits in the exchange, but the area code and the rest of the number would show up too.

As far as being alone at your office, I would wait and see if another call comes. If you are at a workplace with security staff, I would call them if you feel like something is really going on.

My own home phone number starts with 666. As does anyone who lives in my city. Look up 330-666-XXX. Fill in the last 4 digits with whatever you want. It isn't like it's a number that doesn't exist. I guess some one called you by accident. If your phone rang with just 666 and nothing else, I would look at your wireless bill to see who or where the call was from. I'm not so sure about that one.

I wouldn't worry about it, a lot of numbers began with 666. I was at home and this happened a few times the phone would ring and I would go look at the caller I.D. to see who it was and it would be all 0's. It freaked me out the first time and I wouldn't answer the phone but the second time they called I answered it and it was just somebody trying to sell something. Out where I live there are a few daycare's that there number starts with 666. So I wouldn't worry into that much.

I used to have a home phone number that started with 666 and I worked with people as silly as you that were afraid to call me.

Some phone numbers have 666 in them - so what?

I think somebody is pulling your leg. Use your head here.....you KNOW it's not real....you know that 666 is just a number. I would ignore it. Surely you don't REALLY think the Devil is calling you on your cell phone! But keep your senses aware because you may find out who pranked you, then you will HAVE to prank them back with something!

It's likely a solicitation. I used to get calls from that number.
Not being interested in it, I'd always answer my cell phone, but never admit that it was me. They some how knew my name, but I never admited to being that name. You might try doing the same thing. The calls from that number, evernutally stopped, because I answered that way, and registered my cell phone # on the national do not call list.

Somebody is totally messing with your head. I am thinking that somebody you know programed themselves into your phone and put their "name" as 666 so that when they called you it would pop up as 666 calling. They waited until they new you were alone and might be easily freaked out and then called you.

Regardless, I wouldn't worry about it. Let's be real for just a moment, shall we? Do you really think that the devil has nothing better to do than crank call you? Don't flatter yourself. Just think about all the people you know who have nothing better to do than make crank phone calls and you have your "devil."

There is not an area code 666. It must have been the devil calling you home, or some sort of crazy text message. found a website that lists the area codes by number and 666 was not listed.
here is the website http://www.cs.ucsd.edu/users/bsy/area.html#626

My bf got a call from some weird 4 digit number. It was probably a wrong number from another country, that's all.
