I think next they will incorporate no need to touch computers. They'll throw in whole research sources (like online libraries), all the things the internet has, and downloadable books and the like. There will be connections to all your household chores and duties. You'll never have to go home to be home.

I think cell phones are too basic, too limited. I think one of the next designs will be a cell phone that has it's own voice, and talks. It will have on it, the ability to download ring tones wtih out charging an extra fee, and to search for people, maybe even find email addresses by way of a person's name. It would be neat, if they could also come with an emergency transport option, that works similar to the Star Trek transporters. I think someone should come out with a watch which does that, too! Also I think some day, cell phones will be wrist watches, instead of devices that have to be holstered on men's belts, or even carried in purses.

I originally got the phone for emergency purposes. I do have a couple of ICE (In Case of Emergency) numbers in the phone.
I hope they plan to make a direct button for 911 in the future. This way, no matter where you are it will go directly to the nearest 911 station to the person calling for faster aid. Right now I have to dial 911 and give them my location. If out of state, that would prove a problem as I would be unfamiliar with the area.

I think that cell phones are the best ways to call friends, like if you've got only one phone in your house and your big brother and/or older sister's on it, than you can go to your room lock the door and call your friends and chat for minutes or even hours, the other part i love about cell phones are the ring tones you can get like John Cena, R.Kelly, Back street boys, 50 Cents, Black eyed peas, Ne-Yo, Chris brown, Green Day, Maroon 5, Taking back Sunday, Wwe ring tones, play games, do the inter net on your cell phone, sent e-mails, and more and that's why i love cell phones, cause it's the phone of the way to a better day, than the cell phones are a good way to play game show games and win big money and more than that!"

Most of the answers you have received are already possible, such as video and tv shows on the phone. Other things are already possible using PDA integrated phones, such as the Treo.
Perhaps cell phones will become fully capable GPS devices with the ability to provide directions to places. Maybe touch screens will make their way onto regular cell phones as well. I think as they come up with ways to have more memory on the phones, there will be more opportunities for applications and media.

Cell phones are going the way that the palm pilot did. You will be able to control your whole life by one in a couple of years.

Probably devices where you can see what the other person is doing while yall are on the phone. Like when you call someone and they pick up, your phone shows them and whatever they're doing while talking.

I still use my cell phone only when necessary. Not sure if I'll ever be like those who walk around always on a call looking self-important.

I have a cell phone, I use it to talk to people when I am not around a regular phone.
I do not need it to play games
I do not need it to watch videos
I do not need it to check email
I do not own one of those little devices you put on your ear
