I don't know where you're going but get shorts, cotton t-shirts, swimsuits. Think about pants and a spray of repellent for the evening in case of mosquitoes.
Think about a rain coat but that's it! Even in case of hurricane, there is no appropriate gear!
Think about sandals but also sneakers.
Well i guess that's it!
Have fun!!

It has been HOT so dress accordingly. Bring sun screen. It has been raining daily but showers generally last less than an hour. An umbrella is better than rain gear because rain gear will only increase your discomfort in the warm weather. Bring shoes to walk in that you will not mind getting wet. Save your swim suit for the beach. Yes, people wlk around in swimsuits downtown, but it is not considered proper.

(One of these days I may post the story about the well endowed woman who wore a thong, nothing up top, and a diaphanous shirt to "cover" things up.)

For the evening, smart casual is acceptable.

Definitely rain gear--it's hurricane season so I'd take a portable radio and lots of batteries. Some bleach to purify the water in case of flooding. Snorkel and fins as well. Sand bags. Dried or non perishiable food. Mosquito spray --oh and for when the sun comes out--sunscreen, lot's of it.
