This is the Fibonacci numbers! You see, 1, 1+0=1, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, and so on.

And actually there's another interesting theory with this Fibonacci numbers, that's the Chaos Theory. Chaos theory states that "there is order in inorderliness". This number sequences is everywhere. take an observation on the branches of the trees in the gardens or anywhere. The tree will branch from 1, then 2, then 3 then 5 at each level, if you observe. the branches in our lungs are also like this, you see, you have 1 trachea, then 3 bronchus, then, three bronchioles outside the lung, 5 bronchioles all together and so on. The thing is that you may find that the branching is random and in an inorder manner, but you come to think about it, it has a sequence; an order. (Chaos Theory)

It is the Fibbonacci Sequence, one of the most interesting discoveries in Mathematics. It is the perfect rate of change in the size of a Nautilaus (If think that is hw it is spelled). Also if you try to find a rate of change you will come up with a number called PHI this number is considered to be the reat of life. This number comes up in many things from flowers to crystals to the human brain. Cool Huh
