I believe it is very difficult to regain someones trust. I used to be a trusting kinda gal but now I am very careful about trusting others due to past experiences. It takes a very long time for me to be able to feel that I can trust someone.

I could never regain trust in someone as I would feel betrayed. It has to be a special kind of person that you learn to trust and when they break it, as has happened to me in the past then that is unforgiveable. The only person I totally trust now is my best friend.....my mum :o)

It is very important for me to be able to trust someone therefor it take me a long time TO trust someone, yet once they lose my trust it is almost impossible for me to trust them completely again.

boy that's a tough one... it all depends on the level of friendship and what was done.i mean i'll always forgive but some things take longer to get over than others.a rule of thumb is to never put anyone up on a pedestal . a person will at one time or other let you down.only the good Lord will ALWAYS be there for you.

Yes I do. Trust is like virginity. Once it's taken away, no amount of wishing or regret can ever bring it back

I guess it would depend on you. It depends on how much you'd be willing to open yourself up to that person once he/she lost your trust before. Trust doesn't just appear and disappear. It's all up to you to determine how much trust you would invest in someone.

It IS possible to regain trust, but it is really hard. With some people, one may never regain trust.

WELL IT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON.MY HUSBAND ALWAYS SAYES YOU FIRST HAVE TO EARN HIS TRUST TO BEGIN WITH WHILE ME YOU GET IT TO BEGIN WITH AND ONCE YOU LOSE IT IT TAKES A LITTLE TIME TO EARN IT BACK.I GUESS IT JUST DEPENDS ON THE PERSON AND THE ACT THAT GOT THE TRUST LOST.

I should think that was wholly up to the person who had lost trust in the other.
