I dropped my ipod on accident, and now it has a big black streak, with yellow surrounding it, on the screen. The screen itself isn't broken though. Nothing on the ipod will come up. It is just the blank screen with the streak across it. The backlight will come on, but it won't restart. Is there anything I could do to fix it or is there somewhere I can take it to fix it??? Thanks

You can return your ipod to apple to be repaired. Depending on how long you've had your ipod, it may still be under warranty.
Here is a link to Apple's service and repair policies:

If it's not under warranty, it's going to be kind of expensive to have it repaired by Apple. It usually costs more to have something repaired by them than to just buy a new ipod altogether.

Luckily, there IS an alternative. You can also get your ipod repaired through this site:

Hope this helps!

hmmm. that sounds as if the LCD screen inside has been spoilt...u should contact the closest apple store and show them your ipod....they can fix that up..most probably they will replace the internal screen...just to prevent such things in the future keep the ipod in a leather case or silicon cover which u can get from the apple store

Absolutely. Go to your local Apple store--the genius bar. You can make an appointment online through the apple site. In fact, you should make an appointment before you go. You can also send it out also via apple site. They are very helpful. They'll send you all of the packing materials and they will fix it with daily updates. I suggest the apple store. Sometimes its better to speak to a live person,

whoops- can you say complete care? Dell offers it on thri products which cover accidental damage. Unfortunetly sounds like you are out of luck on this one. Probably less to buy a Dell DJ vs. fixing the ipod

Hmm I think you will have to get a new one... that has happened to some of my friends and they either continue to use it like that or buy a new one. I don't think it can be repaired, but good luck anyways.
