i'm neither, but i would be inclined to say it's due to the health risks presented, and the ability to regulate the porn industry.
how would the state or federal government regulate prostitution when most prostitutes don't work in a brothel?

I wanna say it has something to do with the fact that porn stars have health checks, and REPORT their income, and have other legal related (legal goes mostly to the studio though) obligations to fulfill....and I also heard that porn stars don't really "like" what they do, so that qualifies as a real job, but then again, I just "heard" that somewhere....

A HOOKER IS NOT ILLEGAL ON CERTAIN STATES AND COUNTRIES. AND THE REASON IT IS ILLEGAL IS BECAUSE PORNSTARS PAY TAXES AND HOOKERS DONT!
