Could be oil pump, as others have suggested. Could also be the oil pressure sending unit. Could be a faulty oil level sensor, too. Go to your local Autozone, and have them hook up their diagnostic computer to it. That won't cost you a dime, and it'll tell you any computer codes that exist. Then work from there.

You always want to try the cheapest route first ! Have you been changing the oil regularary, ? how many miles on it ?.
Could be a # of things though! Start with changing the oil first if it hasn't been changed yet!
Possiable oil sending unit sencer (bad or leaking around it). If you do change this and it still blinks or stays on, try pulling off the batt cable off for a min or 2 in order to clear the code in your car's computer! NOTE: you may have to drive it 4 a few miles also to clear it totally.

I'd run a diagnostic ASAP!Sound's like the oil pump to me.On the plus side could just be a false reading, but I wouldn't take that chance.

Right above the oil filter you should find a oil pressure switch with one wire going to it,make sure it did not come unplugged,if not then replace the pressure switch.

counting on your automobile it may well be a foul sensor. some latter German vehicles have stress and element sensors on the vehicle and at the same time as they bypass undesirable mild will come on even at the same time as element is reliable.
