There always seems to be someone who wants to criticize others for being different or creative. I mean if we were all the same we would all be bored. I am very critical of those who are stupid and thats the only thing I am critical of. But I think people who wanna get on thier high horses about what is acceptible in society and what isn't. For example, people who wanna have censorship but let their kids watch R movies or listen to profane music. Or how about people that go on Yahoo answers and answer questions in the gay lesbian transgendered bisexuality sections, when they don't like those individuals. I think yahoo has their own police, you know who you are. These are the same people who struggle in their relationships, be it family, marriage, BF/GF, or co-workers.I usually don't respond to these people, I like to watch them suffer in there own miseries. However I was hoping that someone out there could shed some light on why these "do-gooders" try to force their opinions on us.

Oki maybe I haven't been clear, let me break it down for you. If your not educated or have any real life experience, then keep your mouth shut until you have some book smarts, common sense or experience. As far as the teacher goes, when I decide to write a paper and have it published, I'll send ya a rough draft, and yes hold your breathe until I do so. Bu-bye.

This sounds like a speech, rather than a question. But I do think that in those who are overly critical lies a certain lack of confidence in their own abilities. They get comfortable with their own identify by criticizing everybody else's.
The Bible teaches us to love our fellow man. We can choose to not approve of his behavior but we are still supposed to love him. Most mature Christians also recognize John 8:7 - "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." A great scripture on not criticizing others.

Somebody once said, "We've got freedom of speech, but watch what you say." You're critical of stupid people? That's a little broad, isn't it? I was very close to failing college algebra... to some people, I'm a dunce -- others might not know what algebra is (it's a trick question). I'd like to know how you quantify stupid, and please don't let the definition boil down to "whomever doesn't agree with me." And of course, there are gaps in everyone's armor:
"I am very critical of those who are stupid and thats the only thing I am critical of." That sentence sounds a bit redundant, because it says the same thing twice, and that's why it's redundant.
"But I think people who wanna get on thier high horses about what is acceptible in society and what isn't." You think what about people who want to get on their high horses? You never did get around to mentioning what you think in this "sentence." Technically it's a fragment; is english a language you picked up last week?
"I like to watch them suffer in there own miseries." Suffering in one's own miseries, huh? Other than what this sentence implies about you, I'd just like to point out that some people like being miserable; it's a rush, it lets them feed the need to be right, to feel like persecuted victims. Some folks actually derive their sense of self worth by suffering; as victims, they can feel superior to their persecutors. And now we get to the answer I've been belaboringly dancing around...
In the end, human beings have a hunger to feel superior to someone. The people you speak about in the abstract have it. You have it. I have it. Every human being who is alive has it, no matter how personable and respectable that person may be. That's why do-gooders throw opinions at people; that's why authority figures who cannot compare to our intelligence and achievements "should" all over us, no matter how out of line they are; that's why people write reports and keep blogs; to advance their personal status and feel superior to someone else. Hope that clears it up for ya.

I don't think they're forcing their opinion on us. They're just answering a question. No body's twisting your arm.
If stupid people are the only thing that bothers you why do you criticize "do-gooders" too.
Is doing good the same as being stupid?
If everybody gave the same answers you wouldn't get any honest opinions. People who advise others to do the right thing are helping more than the ones who are just making jokes.
You might not want to hear what's right but the person asking the question probably does.
I have to agree with you on the gay bashers though. They are assholes who are a little too interested in gay subjects to be considered "straight"

I have to agree. A very wise man once said "It is better to remain silent and have people think you a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." It seems that some people opt for opening their mouths and removing all doubt much more than they should. The funny thing is, they're almost all convicted they're arguments are bulletproof. 9 times out of 10, my neighbor's kindergarten aged daughter could see through their line of BS in around 2 seconds.
It may sound cruel, but I think willful stupidity should hurt. It should hurt a lot. Then, maybe people who only have their opinions to go by and no facts to back them up would learn something and leave the rest of us alone.
If you don't like GLBT people, fine, I won't force you to accept me or the way I was made, but for crying out loud, stay out of that section and keep your bigoted thoughts to yourself. Or, better yet, surround yourself with other bigots who will affirm you opinion no matter what. Sorry, general rant there. I'm hopping off the soapbox now.

good points.
I would say that people can be hypocritical and justify it when it benefits them. Sometimes I can be guilty of this, but I make an effort not to make a habit of it.
People in general like to offer advice, whether their lives are good or bad. I have had failed relationships and sometimes struggle with family, but If someone has a question and I think I can help I will. I don't however feel like it is forcing my opinions on anyone.
You know when we ask questions publicly, we leave ourselves open to all kinds of questions-this is life.
It is not wrong or right, but it's life. Take it all in stride

I GUESS BECAUSE THEY DONT THINK BEFORE THEY DO THINGS. THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT WE CALL STUPID THAT ARE VERY SMART WHEN IT COMES TO BOOK SMARTS BUT COMMON SENSE IS NOT A FACTOR WHEN IT COMES TO THEM SO THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SO-CALLED "STUPID" PEOPLE.
