I have a friend like that too. We email her every other day but she has epilepsy and I feel very uncomfortable about going out with her anymore -for fear she may have a seizure. She had a stroke last December and she is living with her parents again (she is 32). I've told her nicely that emailing is fine (we used to party together for years) but for her I don't think it's enough. Some people, you could give them the world and they still wouldn't be satisfied.
