It seems like most people do something that is illeagle. Whether it's speed, or drink underage, or drugs, or share their prescriptions when someone else needs it, or something. Sometimes these things lead to bad ends, and sometimes they don't. A while ago I talked to someone who hates drug users cuz someone on coke killed someone he knew. But not everyone on coke, kills people. Is it better than hating all people of that person's race, or people that share other activities with that person, or interests? Say, he was an artist, is it okay to hate all artists now cuz an artist killed your friend, or just all artists on coke?

lawbreakers have no respect for me nor do they have respect for other law abiding people. Why should we have any respect for these lawbreakers?

I am going to take your question at face value, what I mean by that is the question is, "Are you prejudice against law breakers?" Now first of all when reading a question I am prejudice against people who can not spell and is forced to use the word 'cuz' but seriously I would not want a serial rapist to move into my neighborhood, or a child molester to move next to the school, nor would I want an arsonist to live on the other side of the street to me. Think about it how would you like a "crack" house right next door to you? Do I live near speeders? Probably, after all I am one myself. But rapists, murderers, child molesters, arsonists, drug dealers - if you can't see the difference between these then you need to seriously look at what is just nuisance laws and what is anarchy.

No, I'm not prejudice against law breakers the law is the law. The average American breaks the law every day whether it's speeding, or giving false information to get financial aid. The difference is that some of us are not criminals, or broke the law in a matter where another person was hurt/killed.

Hi again slee z, good to see you off the blue hair "freak" prejudice subject for awhile !
Yes, everyone does something illegal. As far as hate goes , my dad always said hate is like acid - it just eats up whatever it is in. So should you hate? Can you really change your emotions? I don't think emotions are positive or negative - they just are. It is what we do with them that makes them positive or negative.
Is it okay to hate all artists or coke users? Most would say no. If you say he shouldn't hate when he does hate, isn't that judging him ? Very easy to say when it wasn't your friend killed.

In Singapore we feel that law breakers are to be punished by the law for the offence that they have commited. But when they have served their time, they have to forgiven by the society as well in order for them to fully repent and start all over.
Personally, I am not prejudiced against a minor law breaker, it all depends on the severity of the crime and the reasons for someone to have broken the law.

Most people, myself included commit moving violations in cars...the problem is that moving violations kill people. While people who use cocaine and other illegal drugs might not harm people directly, indirectly they are supporting some of the most violent and vile criminals on the face of the earth. Drug cartels maim torture and murder scores of people to move their products. These products are used to entice people into addiction, prostitution and other exploitative roles. Most people work very hard for what they have and in a second, a thief, mugger, robber, child molester or rapist can completely turn their world inside out and scar them physically, mentally, financially and emotionally for the rest of their lives. As for your example of artists, the institution of art is not based upon hurting and exploiting other people. Once that artist crosses the line, his behavior is typical of a criminal, not an artist.

it depends what laws they broke i guess. if they got a speeding ticket or something, or if it was an isolated incident....something along those lines i think i'd just let it go but i have a hard time feeling sorry for drug dealers and users and killers alike no matter what.
