If you are not very experienced then it is going to be a very slow process. You need to first go to control panel and open "add, remove programs"..go down the list there and remove anything that you don't want. Then you need to go to your hard-drive and open program files and right click anything you want removed and see if you come up with an option of removing this program. You can also use your search, files and folders, and type: unin...this will find all the installer's on your computer...good luck

Assuming you mean spyware, (and not the brown stuff)pop up generators and tracking cookies go to the following links and download the free software.

Microsoft also has a program that is stil free. You'll need your original registration number which should be on your pc on the back or side, or on the documentation you received with your computer.

These programs will tell you if thay are unable to remove the infection, and will tell you the name of the trojan or worm. WRITE DOWN THE INFO!!!

Then use advanced search in your favorite using the info you got from the spy-buster program and the word "removal" in the "contains this word" feild.

Some of the trojans are buggers to get rid of.

depends. if by crap u mean viruses etc, then buy a virusscanner, or there are various free ones. If you want to get everything off ur pc then u need 2 format it. Its hard to explain how 2 do it as xp makes it more complicated, but if u want to then go find sum1 who knows a lot about pc's and they will do it 4 u.

Go to the "start" menu and then go to the "control panel". It should list just about every program you have. Delete everything you don't need/use. You can also go through a lot of foldres when you have enough time and delete pictures, music, and whatever else you don't need. Also run "Disk Scans" at least once a week or so to clean up temporary files, empty recycle bin, and more.

Strong magnets also get rid of a lot of junk when they are put near your hard drive.

Seriously though:
Spyware: Adware, Spyboy, Spydoctor are good in combination with each other.
Virus: Panda Software works well for me, but so should AVG or ClamWin if you need a free alternative.
Regular junk: back up important files and then c:/format c:
