I didn't something really dumb to my computer! I accidently laid my book on my keyboard and the screen went blank then when it turned back on it was sideways. The screen rotated the the left, so now it is long ways! Help. I have no idea what I pushed. I have my screen on its side so I can read and do my work.

Just turn the monitor on it's side. Just kidding. You probably hit a hot combo key that controls you graphic adapter. Try hittin your Ctrl key and then the up down arrow keys to get it back right. If that's not it hover your mouse over the systray icons in the bottom right of the screen. Well it may be on the top now. Find one that has to do with you graphics controller right click on it and open it. Browse around in there and find where you can rotate it back.
If all the above fails go to control panel and then Display and browse in the settings there to find where you can rotate it back.

Are you on a notebook? cuz then there might be a set of setting buttons on the outside that could have been set to a different mode. Otherwise you can fidget with the settings of the monitor. In any case I think the best thing to do would be to find someone who knows how to work with the hardware of the computer and ask him/her to help you. It shouldn't be hard to fix if they know what they're doing.

Try using the buttons on the monitor itself. There should be a "rotate" option. Good luck!
And nice thinking to turn the monitor sideways! haha! It's better than getting a cramp in your neck trying to turn it sideways!
