Get the records from the Primary Care Physician, You can get the Attorney to do this, but they will charge You, and the Doctors Office might not include all that it should. You have to prove that there were no previous problems, such as prior heart attacks, or strokes. And if High Blood Pressure was already present before Vioxx was used, You would have to prove that the condition had worsened after the use of this drug. Get x-rays, reports from Specialists, Hospitals, but simply tell them, when they ask that it is needed to clear up some final medical expenses. There are also many lawyers who specialize in this area, You could look in Your phone book. If You live in a small town, get a book from a larger area. Many Attorneys will give You a free consultation, either by phone, or in person. Try the Attorneys who will give You a free consultation first, keep track of who You call, and write EVERYTHING down. Keep a very organized book. List everyone You talked to, what They said, the date, the time, and if they transfered You, and who You spoke to then. And remember Some Attorneys are scum, so when You decide on One, check them out through the Bar Association, maybe Someone on here can give You a email address for that, or You could check them out through the Attorney Generals Office in Your state.
I am so sorry for Your loss, and I pray for Your strengh in this, because, keep in mind, They want You to give up. Just let the Love and the memories of Your lost Loved One keep You strong.
And pray, God can accomplish things, that no one else can.
GOD Bless, and Best Wishes

the attached website shows the side effects of vioxx. the only other thing that would 'prove' the death would be toxicology screening of the deceased blood-usually happens during an autopsy. i hope you find the information that helps.

If the authorities decline to do an autopsy, you can pay for a private autopsy. it won't be cheap. And if the body is already buried, you have to get a court order allowing an exhumation (digging up of the body), and that won't be cheap either.

I think it would be very hard to prove without a tox screen (blood tests). If the death was suspicious, I'm surprised an autopsy has not been done.

You do not need proof. All you have to do is have your lawyer convince a sympathetic jury. And an autopsy will not proof a thing one way or the other.

Look at the history. If they were normal before taking the drug and then after there were all these problems you may have a case. With a a good lawyer.

I don't see how you can pinpoint or prove that without an autopsy...
