That it is very important to not take things seriously, have a good sense of humor, love like you'll never be hurt, and if you are....give yourself the grieving time you need then move on.
Life will throw things at you when you least expect it. So don't try to plan your life too well. That is important too but enjoy every day as if it is your last.
You will have no regrets if you do these things.
How do I know this? I have 65 years experience. Believe it.

That no one comes up with opinions out of thin air. They always base it on something. So I should respect other people's opinions even if they don't make sense to me. They do have a reason for thinking that.

That I can't choose which family I was born into, so I just have to make things work with them because I'm stuck w/ them, and guess what...they're also stuck w/ me :) but you can choose to "make" your own family ;)
That there is God, and that I sin every day, but God's unfailing love keeps save me, and that I need HIM.

that i still have a lot more to learn, but i have to say poetry, i luv writting poetry because there are no rules, u can talk about anyone in poetry but still no one gets the hints, i even made up my own kind of poetry lol
