If the body is not rotting off the fram and truck runs good, you won't be able to replace it for the same money and even if did you would have things to worry about on the next truck. Unless of course you bought a four year old or newer one with low miles, then you would have a somewhat problem free one. If you like the truck fix, what's it like $400 for tires, $600 for brakes, and $800 for a clutch?

I work for a company that uses Tacoma trucks to deliver we get 3 to 4 hundred thousand miles out of them. So you will more than get your money back out of if if those are the only problems with the truck.

Your decision to repair or not depends on:
1) Whether you like the vehicle and want to continue driving it
2) Whether you've maintained the engine oil, transmission oil, engine coolant, power steering, brake fluid, timing belt, and other maintenance items according to the manufacturer's schedule or not.
