They take the team seriously. Not the owner. Dirk is pretty damn good for a 7' footer. I can't believe how mobile he is. Howard and Terry are sweet too. That team will be back in the Finals next year unless Duncan raises his game.

I honestly do not think that America will take the Mav's seriously because look at other sports. Take Baseball for example when the Diamond Backs won the World Series it was like a freak accident and then you dont hear of them after that! I really think for the Mav's to be taken seriously they have to make a name for themselves and winning one final is not going to do it!

Yes i believe people will take the Dallas Mavericks seriously. They have a very good well balanced team, a great owner and very good coach in (avery johnson)

Not as the most dominant team in the NBA. The recently concluded playoffs showed that all post-season teams were pretty much evenly matched. So there'd be no more dynistic teams for a few more years until Kobe or LeBron or someone else really takes over the league.

Who Cares! We do in Dallas, and that's all that matters. Besides, it's JUST a sport. It's for entertainment purposes only, and doesn't really need to be taken seriously.

America SHOULD take Dallas seriously as they have gotten better and better each year (so has Dirk) but America is fickle so we won't!!

Yes because they beat the spurs, suns,and possibly the heat . They have enough guys to be taken serious.
