o.k. here goes, from what i have found out the make sperm swim faster and live a shorter life (once they have entered the vagina) and the female sperm live longer and swim slower. so you can use this information along with your cycle to see where you are at in your ovulating to try to get a better chance to have the boy or girl you would like. I am also ttc so i have been really looking into this and all i have found is it really is a crap shoot. this may increase your chances, but nothing short of genetic intervention will give you the boy or girl you want excactly. good luck (p.s. i have also heard that a diet high in dairy promots a better enviroment for the female sperm to thrive in)

Unfortunately, there is not, but what you can do which is just a superstition, is go online and look up the Chinese Birth Chart and supposedly they can predict the gender of your child and tell you what month you must conceive in order to make a boy or a girl.. Also, look up all the sites that come up and make sure that you take the one that gives you more accurate detail... good luck.

Our best friends used a method called Genselect, which worked for them. We tried it, and got pregnant with the little girl we always wanted (after 3 boys). We were looking at something called Microsort for a while, but it was way expensive and had a lower success rate than the one we used. We did everything at home, with no doctors or anything. The people at Genselect were real nice and answered every question we asked.

Not really... but there is a bunch of things people try to dictate the sex.
1. Consult the chinese conception calendar to determine which dates to try to conceive...the calendar touts 90% accuracy. http://www.baby-talk.co.uk/chinese_calendar.htm
2. If you want a boy have sex often during the period of time trying to conceive. If you want a girl have sex once every 72 hours. The thinking behind this is that sperm that are male producing sperm (XY) swim faster than that of the female producing sperm (XX) the idea is that male producing sperm get to the egg faster and hence fertilize first. Female producing sperm swim slower, but live longer. So if you only have sex once every 72 hours, when the egg drops the female sperm will be there waiting to fertilize the egg, while the male sperm have died out.
3. Diet- certain foods increase the production of male vs. female sperm.

Some say missionary position 2 days before ovulation will get a girl and doggy style on the day of ovulation will be a boy. The boy sperm swims faster than the girl sperm. That's what I've read anyways.

There are ways of trying...but there are no guarantees that you will get what you want. My advice is to hope for a healthy baby and thank God that you are able to have such a miracle. Go to www.webmd.com and log-in (it's free). Chart your cycles using the ovulation chart. It will give you the option to check "for a boy" or "for a girl". There are different ways for you to follow. Go there & it should help. My sister swears by it....she has 2 girls!!

I dont think so unless you pay a costly price for it...
I do know that you can use different techniques in hope of TTC the sex of your desired choice...
Check out http://ibabydust.com
It has an ovualtion chart and also a gender part where it tells you to do what and when to do it..
I guess you could have fun playing around with it
Good Luck

Just hope for a healthy child, because what if you get that boy or girl that you want and he child have a health problem, so I think the gender should be the last concern of parents, but hey it is fun to think about what it could be. lol

There is no way to pick and choose the sex of your baby. Women only carry the X chromosome which is female. Men carry X (female) and Y (male) chromosomes, so your bf/husband will determine the sex of your baby by which of his sperm carrying either X or Y reaches and fertilizes your egg first. There is nothing you can do.
