The caller ID from a Skype out call just shows "0000000000". If you think it traceable tell me how. Skye does not require a name or physical address to sign up, and I can call from any free WIFI hot spot. I never had to register a mac address either.

So anyone logging only an IP address would only get a free WIFI providers temporary DHCP - not exactly traceable...

If they want to they can find out where you are and everthing else.. eveerytime you connect to skype your ip address is logged. hence they can figure out where you are when they want to.. because you cannot use a proxy server for skpye.

I've free long distance on phone mobile also. I keep LD on land line in the event the cellphone battery dies, or the towers go down. Don't forget World trade middle & hurricane Katrina. Additionally, the place I reside, it is not exotic for vigour to move out every now and then. I hold a Princess mobilephone within the closet to plug in in location of my cordless. I perpetually have regional and long distance ability.

Anything can be traced if someone wants the information bad enough. Why do you want anonymity? To protect yourself, or to trouble others?

This may mean that they don't have a Skype phone number which you need to call their accoun
