Just a creation myth. Don't worry about it. All life originally came from asexually reproducing organisms anyway.
And don't worry about "sin" either.
And hey boz4425, if all of adam and eve's genes were "pure" where did the impurities come from later on? Did they evolve?

Adam and Eve had MANY sons and daughters...but back then, God did not forbid incest. The reason for this is because Adam and Eve were essentially perfect specimens as far as genetics and so if there was incest there was not the potential risk of birth defects because the genes were still so pure. God also said for them to be fruitful and multiply and so they did, it was not until much later (I think around the time of Abraham) that God forbade incest, because by then..humans had linked out so much it was no longer necessary to "be with" your brother or sister. There were MANY others of far distant blood available.

The Bible never really specifies. All it says is that Cain married, and had a child. Genesis and other books of the Bible are somewhat patriarchal, and so girls are not often mentioned. I belive in intelligent design, and so my opinion is, while Adam and Eve were the first Homo Sapians, they, and Cain, could still breed with the former population (Neanderthals?).

Adam and Eve were a male and a female. They were not brother and sister.

Just because Adam and Eve were both "made" by God...doesn't make them brother and sister! The Bible says the God made them from the earth...not from himself.

there was a reason for that since there wasn't many populating the Earth, but God put a stop to that & now we shouldn't do it anyhow besides bible reasons. Medical resons is because of handicapp & other things could go wrong. Ewwww just thinknig of my brother like that churcnes my stomach.
