Help please!

She is 10 and I am 13. My mom is not interested in hiring a REAL tutor, just because we are going to be home all summer and she figures that she barely has to pay me.

Find a way to speak less and teach more by seeing what her interests are and filling her time with these interests with a small lesson. Like for instance, tell her that you'll take her to hangout somewhere and then go to the library and find books that will interest her. You can incorperate math by going shopping and having her figure out percentages of discounts and adding up and multiplying clothing items and purchases, explaining credit and interests and things like this. So make it something to do that's fun and not like a classroom teacher type thing. This is the best and easiest way to learn. Good luck.

As I am a substitute teacher with a bipolar child I understand fully. You have to be patient. Thou it is possible that you may be the wrong person to tutor her. Naturally a sibling isn't gonna want to listen to another sibling. See if you can find another person or friend that would be interested in tryin to tutor her. But if it turns out that you still have to tutor her, then just be patient. Don't tell her that you don't want to tutor her cause that could hurt more.

tell your rents your not going to teach her if she isn't going to cooperate
then you either won't have to deal with it and she can fail and learn her lesson
or your parents will odv make her cooperate
