I remember a guide on how to make your headphones into a microphone but i forgot where it is, can anyone tell me how to. Dont say just go buy one.

true...you can just plug in your headphone...and it will act as a microphone...but...the quality will be low...because of the impedance difference...and because most pc microphones are now electret versions...which employs an internal amp.however u can use the headphones...as long as u turn the input volume up.....and speak LOUD :D

No modification necessary. Just plug them in. A microphone works better and its not that expensive to be using headphones instead of a a mic.

A microphone is pretty much the same thing as a head phone, and can be use interchangeable. You can plug a head phone in to the mic jack, It won't sound great but it work. The reverse is true. A mic in a head phone jack will produce sound.
