Depends on where in the country you are located. Big cities have big teaching hospitals and will pay more. It also depends on what skills and experience you have. For example a Critical Care nurse will be paid more than a Med-Surg nurse. But on average you can start in the low 30's and run all the way up to 60K to 70K.

im not sure what is it salarywise, but I have a friend that graduated with a BSN 2 years ago and is now an RN who makes about $30/hour. He works about 40-45 hours a week.

My friend is a RN at Brigham and Woman's hospital in Boston, MA. He makes about 45K a year (and that's just starting). My other friend works at Mass General and makes about 40K starting. It also depends on what school you graduated from.

It depends on your location. I live in the Midwest and I have 2 nurses working for me. I pay one $20.00 per hour part time. the other $18.00 part time. the reason for the difference is that one negotiated better than the other.

I also used to work for a company that hired nurses per diem and for travel. I used to pay those suckers up to $65.00 in california.
