Probably Nokias. They're not as nice looking but I've dropped my so many times I've lost count. Even down steps and into a toilet. They hold up well.

I just quit working for T-Mobile. The absolute rock hard, unbreakable - unless you're really trying - is the Nokia 3220 and the Samsung 6010. They are the best per customers and co-workers. Take some mean punishment and keep on working.

Don't mean to sound like a sales rep, but I was :) -- If you call 1.800.T.Mobile you can get a one year contract (rather than the two years you get in a store) and the phones are at 2 year prices.

And the two phones I mentioned are FREE right now. But if you go with another phone, make sure you check the rebate offer (if applicable). Sometimes you HAVE to take the 2 year plan to get the rebate. Be careful and read small print.

Good luck.

The nokia 6010 is the best for durability but the best scenario to make any phone last in extreme conditions is a good sturdy case.

i've used many kinds of phones. i think motorola makes good phones,

treo phones are cool too but blackberry has eclipsed them.

i have had mixed results with ericcson and cannot recommend.

nokia's a good brand too

overall the key thing to ask for is MULTIBAND (quad band is best) phone so you get the best reception! after all that's what matters most!

I like the T-Mobile MDA. It's a great phone. It does EVERYTHING!!! I get my emails on it, I can surf the web, I can text message, I can listen to music, etc. It truly is an excellent phone...just too expensive.
