I know its bad. I and Hubby are retired. We have a best friend up there where i lived in empire years ago. i miss it and the weather.

I was born and raised in Metro-Detroit. My oldest sister and her husband have decided to stay in Michigan for retirement. If you don't need a great job, then it would probably be fine. The economy is in trouble. Perhaps the resource below will help.

Many states have certain criteria for ok-12 instructors that contain licensing and state tests. you would prefer to seem on the criteria for any state you're thinking. i'd also imagine in case you're employing to a public college that scholars who went to college in the state and did pupil preparation there would have an aspect over an out of towner. have you ever appeared at inner most residential faculties as well? that's all conjecture on my area. I teach on the college element, yet no longer in preparation. I do have distinctive preparation majors in my instructions although, and that's in accordance to memories I actually have heard from them.

Grand Rapids/West Michigan is a vibrant, fast growing area with plenty of jobs. Plus, there is plenty to do, especially for retired folks.

The major import of Michigan is Canadian garbabe. We have an idiot for a govenor Jennifer Granholm and the state is 2nd highest in unemployment. Other than that it still stinks.

I just moved here one month ago from PA. I didn't really have any problems more then I would have had moving to any state. Plus, all the roads are completely straight lines making blocks, so its easy to find stuff once you have directions.

Its not hard to get here, but the economy is horrible right now.
