rent:
starting at 1000/month rent for one bedroom- bedroom, bath, kitchen and living room

commuting/car:
move to an area near a subway, parking is hard to find - if you work then the car will be used on weekends... indoor parking cost money

food: 1.23 qrt milk , 0.99/lb sugar , 0.99/yogart - compare with your local. however there is COSTCO and "farmer's markets" to get food in bulk much cheaper

utilites 2ppl avg.: phone 40/mnth local, 60/month electrity, gas 12/mnth

dining: starting at 15/per person

however, salaries are more... especially in NYC- wall st., midtown etc..

i believe you will go through a serious culture shock i also live in sc i moved here from ohio but nyc is a whole new ballgame expect very rude ,obnoxious,and self centered people unlike the smiling faces we see here in sc expect to be treated like crap those people wont help you or do anything for you without a price and get used to using public transportation because very few people have a car in nyc

We actually have a situation coming with rip-off artists and incompetent human beings wanting to make a greenback, hence the non union help. we do not desire untrained structure workers who in reality understand a thanks to con human beings out of money. i think you cons imagine any earnings is wonderful no remember who get screwed, yet it really isn't any longer what we desire. i have been gazing all day, and that i have not heard Bloomberg ask all people to go away lodges. this isn't a competent time to call human beings in the approach a catastrophe idiots and loons.

Finding parking spots and paying for parking may make the big difference. Also many people are that nice when it comes to manners, and just being polite.

realizing that you don't need a car and you should really sell it so you can use the money to buy food since rent here is gonna suck your paycheck dry.
