3√2z=9
√2z=3
z=3/√2=3√2/2

The printing on the Computer is ambiguous. is the "z" under the square root radicle? If it is, I get 4.5.
Square both sides
9 x 2 x z squared = 81
z = 81/18
z = (9 x 9)/(9 x 2). cancel the common 9 factor.
z = 9/2
z = 4.5
If it isn't, z= the square root of 4.5. (two something)

If your question reads 3 sqrt (2z) = 9,

sqrt (2z) = 3
2z = 9
z = 9/2 = 4.5

If your question reads 3 (sqrt 2)z = 9,

z(sqrt 2) = 3
x = 3 / (sqrt 2) = 2.12 (approximately)

this all depends on how the question is worded... if it is 3*√(2z)=9 then the answer is 4.5 if it is 3*√(2)*z=9 then it is √(4.5)

* is equivalent to the times sign

i got: (square roots of 2) over 9 = z

z = 9/(3sqrt(2)) = 3/sqrt(2) = 3sqrt(2)/2

and sqrt(4) = 2 which is not the value of z.
