Playstation, no doubt about it. I will use statistical proof. A survey asked random people who said they are going to buy a next generation machine what one they would prefer.
USA: Playstation=58%, XBOX=31%, Wii=11%.
Europe: Playstation=72%, XBOX=12%, Wii=16%
Japan: Playstaion=56%, XBOX=06%, Wii=39%
OK next. The discs used. Blue ray is the one that is used by PS3 and blue ray is the disc backed by the movie industry at large.Including Paramount. Warner Bros, Dreamworks, Pathe, Glossary productions MGM and FOX.
Finally. What the developers think
Konami: "From what I've seen PS3".
Namco: "The playstation is Superior in every department"
Electronic Arts: "Well working with all the systems I can say the PS3 is the most power full machine".
Blizzard: The PS3 is not a threat, The 360 is just as capable of producing the type of performance you can see on the PS3".
Atari: "PS3" (No hesitation)
Activision: "The PS3 performs better. Yeah Yeah From what we have seen".
Capcom: "We can mold a much better game using the PS3, well wait sorry I say better game. It doesn't necessarily mean better game but graphically and performance wise we can produce a much more advanced game".
Valve: The 360 is a more adept gaming system when compared to the Wii and the PS3.
So there you have it you can make up your own mind if you want but PS3 looks set to be the best.

I grew up a nintendo fan but that was before i realized there were a lot better gaming out there now. For me, #1-Xbox, #2-Playstation, #3-Nintendo. Xbox is just creaming the competition now!

Well I'm Nintendo person for life, so no matter how much better PS and XBox get, I will always get Nintendo first. I can't wait for their system Wii to come out, it's gonna rock! Along with the all new Zelda game! Wahoo!

It really depends on what type of games you like to play.
PLAYSTATION & XBOX: Racing, fighting, sports - more for older players
NINTENDO: Has more games for younger children and also exclusively has Mario Bros., Donkey Kong and a few other very popular games.
My opinion: Nintendo !!!!! Love Mario Kart !

Playstation....they are taking more time creating their system than xbox....microsoft did not put enough time and work into their system thats why the first wave of the 360's had so many "bugs".

xbox all the way man playstation sucks and nitendoe comes in second. but xbox is doing alot better because they are already up to the new and improved.

I prefer PS2 for the larger game library and diversity of games, but it depends on what you value.
More party and family style games = Gamecube
More "Good" games and large game library = PS2
More graphics and power = Xbox
360 is just a powerhouse right now, not much to yay or nay on it yet.
I own all 4 systems and use them all for each element they have, but I play more PS2 than anything else.
