Two shirts is all the fashion here in Paris at the moment.... two tank tops, a tee shirt with a tank top, etc.
As for socks, most people wear two of them when they wear them. But why not two pairs if it's not too hot?
Two hats I think would be more difficult, unless of course one has two heads.

I don't know about "takey" but it IS considered TACKY to wear more than 3 pieces of jewlery and even they had better be Pearls by Day and Diamonds by Night or THAT would also be TACKY.

Well, two socks would be normal since you have two feet, mant people wear two shirts, like a button down shirt with a t-shirt underneath.... two hats, well thats where you are pushing it.

The only one that I think anyone would notice would be the two hats and if you do it right that might work as well.
