First its government and offended... there is spell check here. second it wasn't the government who was pissed it was the national broadcasting people who where since there were young children who were present at the Superbowl and watching from home. I'm not sure in everyone Else's state but in Oklahoma if that happened here she would have gone to jail and be registered as a sex offender. Sounds dumb but that's how it is here.

The government wasn't offended. Rather, hundreds of thousands of Americans were offended & they all wrote their members of Congress, who then held hearings asking the FCC what they were going to do.
The FCC is just the messenger. If you don't like the message, you'll need to be as loud as the ones who demanded the fines. That's democracy, like it or not.

I don't know why so many people had a hissy fit about that when everyone is promoting breast feeding. It's is a wonderful thing. When young children say that happen their parents should have just said " and period her wardrode must have malfunctioned". They should of not had started rumors they did not know.

Because in America we like for the tv to babysit our children, and in the rare occassion when the parents are actually sitting there watching it too, they are shocked by what is on tv these days.
