why is that when u know for sure its not gona be ok but you delude yourself that it will be..
why is that that you mess every step of the way when its something majorly important?
why why why dont some things sink in so you will actually do something about it??
why is it that in a bad situation you end up giving up and thinking that the consequences of giving up are really really bad but you just end up deluding yourself that they are not..
why is the human mind sooo stupid sometimes??
why doesnt the self preservation mechanism kick in as it should???

because we are more than just a body. we have a spirit or soul, or whatever you want to call it. that part of us wants to do what is best (in most people). but the flesh wants what it wants. it is completely selfish and demanding. that is why it feels like you are at war w/ yourself.
there is a quote in the Bible similar to your question. i think Paul says it.
the good news is that we do have a choice. we can choose to do what is right. if we mess up, we ask for forgiveness. then we RECEIVE this forgiveness. then we move on. hopefully next time we won't repeat our mistake.

Oh and jesus said be perfect you arent choosing to be as such, believe in your self not Jesus, but understand his principals of finding yourself through his teaching. And heaven is on earth, we just have to bring it back, this earth was given to us, and cant be taken away, or exchanged, but we can still mess it up with our imperfection, so help me bring back heaven, because when heaven comes I would like to still be in this body, and not have died and went on to be some other person
Another thing is that you need to forgive yourself, I was just talking to god to today and said to him "father I recognize me and what I do, and I do not like certain behavior I have, but I do forgive myself, and in knowing that, I know you forgive me as well, for what is easier for a man to do, forgive a man, or to tll him to get up" God command men, we as humans forgive them.

All of this is caused by sin. Jesus paid for our sins and now we are free to do what is right. Believe in Him and be set free from the bondage of sin.
By the way in heaven we will totally free from making mistakes. Just imagine that. I feel sorry for all of those who are going to hell.
