Every time I've tried explaining that "going out" is not dating to my parents, they get the idea that my bf and I are actually going some where. Ex) The movies, dinner, etc. What's a better term that I could use to explain to them what exactly "going out" is?

well i would tell them that ou are go n to the moveis or watever you are doing and then tell them that you guys arent dating just going out with him to have some fun adn get to no each other better see it that works!!!good luck

try "hanging out" w/friends instead of "going out" w/friends

say boyfriend/girlfriend.... its not that ya'll actually go anywhere....thats really the only way to put it...
