I look for them to be fully evolved (no Neanderthals, please!), gainfully employed (if I can't sit at home and do nothing, neither should you!) and have a vocabulary of more than just one-sylable words and grunts.

A girl wants a guy that can dilate his eyes at will.
That 'special spark' during communication between sexes is usually due to both people dilating their eyes at the same time. This has a special significance to girls due to the impact this has on communication. It gives that special soul to soul feel - hence that saying that a person's eyes are windows into their soul.
This is something that most people instinctively know. They intentionally create situations where both partners are more likely to dilate their eyes. For example, a dimly lit restaraunt is considered very romantic, since dim light naturally causes the eye to dilate in order to let in more light. Alcoholic beverages, such as wine, also cause a person's eyes to dilate.
Obviously, such indirect methods leave something to be desired. It increases the chances that both partners will happen to be dilating their eyes at the same time and happen to be making eye contact with each other when their eyes are dilating, but it falls far short of ensuring an intimate communication experience.
The better option is for the guy to spend a little time practicing so he can watch for the girl's eyes to dilate and to immediately dilate his eyes in response. This will ensure the intimate communication that girls desire.
