Yes, I think it is. So much is done for individuals through computer, videos, instant on-off stuff that a person doesn't actually have to be really insightful or thoughtful to survive. In the old days if you didn't have common sense, you were usually the first to starve or die. Today there's usually someone else around to keep us from falling or saving the day. Personally, I'd like to see people have to pay some consequences for their actions and then you'll see common sense on the up rise!

Yes, it's true that as the human race advances less and less people use the good, common sense they were gifted with at birth. The use of instinct and intuition have nearly been wiped out as man and woman continue to fight for a place in society. It seems our society as a whole has done away with this most basic thought process, simply because it doesn't fit into the world people are molding for themselves. I like to think that not everyone is at fault for this, but it seems that, the more I look around, the more people there that have lost touch with themselves and humanity.

The term "Common Sense" never was very common. It makes the assumption that most people know what you know and have experienced what you have experienced. Most of all, it makes the assumption that they learned what you learned from them.
We all try to believe that everyone feels the way that we do, thinks the way that we do, likes the things we like, and dislike the things we dislike. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

We are all individuals that live in a constant state of confusion in one form or another. Just remember that the opposite of frustration is compassion.

Sounds like you have noticed that common sense is not so common anymore.I think people have just made a conscience decision to waste their brains.Maybe they are content in letting the media tell them what to think, say, and do.What use to be common sense is becoming extinct and new guidelines are being established they are as follows:Never trust your own thinking,Do as I do not as I say, follow and never attempt to lead or be different,if I want your opinion I'll give it to you.MMM sooooo very sad isn't it.What's evensadder is that people are willing to give up ownership of their brains and the right to use it.What's next??? I shudder to think.

common sense is not common, as the name implies. Common sense is derived from one's opinions of what everyone should know, and the definition therefore changes from person to person based on their own ideals and experiences. What is common sense to one person, therefore, is not common sense to another.

IF I AM ANSWERING , THIS IS WHAT I WILL SAY:
'' IN THIS NEW EVOLUTION OF MAN AND WOMAN , NOT EVEN ONE HAS A LITTLE COMMON SENSE- INCLUDING U AND ME.''

U CAN YOURSELF SEE THE DAILY NEWS TO UNDERSTAND MY POINT.

It is weak against ignorance and selfishness. It's one thing if someone is a teen, but I know some 40-somethings and 50-somethings that do things and make choices that are astonishing to me. I wonder if they can tie a shoe sometimes.
