There are a few reasons;
1. Very few writers start with original ideas.
2. Very few writers incorporate original personality, plots, or characters.
3. Every one does the same thing when they are writing a movie, same order, a couple of main characters, one straight plot line from beggining to end (Props to Quentin Tarantino for keeping it real).

i only watch 2% of movies that mean the movies i watch dint suck
so you should also watch rest 2% leave the other 98%

No new story ideas. They are re-making everything and that sucks. Some movies need to be left alone.

Because people are running out of good ideas for movies and we are now getting reformed versions of plots that have already been used to death

Because people are willing to pay for lesser quality movies instead of demanding better quality for our money. Less quality = bigger savings = larger profit
