You are correct, the Sun is just too big. In fact, nuclear fusion reactions that occur for a fraction of a second in a thermonuclear bomb explosion are continuously occurring in the core of the Sun, and the amount of energy is similar to what would be produced by detonating 100 BILLION H-bombs every SECOND. Our bomb technology does not come anywhere near equaling that, much less overwhelming it to blow up the Sun!

The sun is a sort of self-controlled nuclear 'fusion' not fission bomb. To destroy the sun, you would have to figure a way to interrupt the fusion cycle, find enough material to do this, then find a way to deliver the mechanism. So the sun is more like a Hydrogen bomb then an Atom bomb. Clearly, you will need more data then is presently available. Also, GOD has a plan, do you really believe HE is going to allow any intity to change HIS plan? Certainly not.

If all the countries in the world with nuclear weapons were to detonate them at or near the same time, we would destroy the planet. This would more than likely disrupt the other planets that revolve around our sun, causing them to run into each other and cause a massive explosion, etc.
