Thinking is a thought, processed within your mind. You make this an oppertunity to evaluate the goods and bads, the ideologies/theories behind many subjects. Thoughts, seem to be silently processed in you! Not on paper! Thinking is not an expression.

Reasoning is one expression, that happens to be vocally or literally communicated, subsequently due to thinking (concious or subconcious). These are accessible by others, when required i.e request/insist verbally or literally.

Thoughts seem to be personal. (Though science is advancing towards "reading minds" i.e. researches conducted with the assistance of a monkey/chimpanzee.)

Good Luck!

I believe that THINKING is just ideas cycling through your mind. REASONING is just another way to say "problem solving." Think about the SAT; it's called a reasoning test b/c the test taker displays his reasoning (in other words, his/her ability to solve problems).
Of course, the term "solving problems" is taken very loosely: I don't just mean solving a math problem, but more like overcoming problems in education and in life.

The same difference as hearing and listening. You can hear without really listening, you can think without reasoning. Reasoning involves weighing choices and making choices based on the information available.
