omg! i don't know! probably the same reason we lean into turn to try to make the car turn faster!

Pressing harder on the buttons will squeeze what power is left, out of the batteries.

OR it could be just laziness.

well i think thal it is justa a psycological approach.somtimes we not only press the buttons hard but also bang the remote on another hand.it is just our brain signals that the remote mite have lost connectivity from inside or because of some other reason.or may be it is just the result of our irritation or frustation !!

cuz we are so pissed off that we get our anger out. or, we are part of a group born with little brain function and we just don't understand. aren't humans stupid somtimes? i know i have my moments.
