Egypt was the first civilization. They started much smaller, and then they joined the Upper and Lower Egyptian societies to become much larger. It was mainly located along the Nile River.
Also, The Tigress and Ufrates Rivers came together to make the Fertile Crescent and that is also thought to be the beginning of civilization.

There were many cultures dating to the beginning of mankind. But the first advanced human civilization had to be the Aborigines. Their reign spanned across Australia while still keeping a close society.
