women do not have to prove that and never had 2...the media made it that...this is what it really is...women can not do the same job LIKE a man, as it is men can not do the same job LIKE a woman...

Women must prove to themselves first that they are capable of doing the same job as a man. Multitudes of women have in the workplace. Unfortunately, women are still perceived as the weaker sex, not able to handle physically, mentally or emotionally,the stresses in certain jobs. I am sure someone here will respond with all the brave women who have been the first to open doors , and those are the women who proved it to themselves first. You do the job, and do it well , than no more proof is needed. That can be said of men too.

I would think that is because communities have been stereo-typing woman for soo long, even though nowadays, women can do almost the same job as men can, and so they need to prove that with going off to the work fields.

Because women can't do the same job as a man, so its an neverending struggle to try. Its like trying to study to become a supergenius, just doesn't work like that. Just running head-on into a brick wall.

Because women need to prove. And what really sucks is when they try to shove it in our faces like its something awesome. Maybe it shows a little bit of insecurity on the woman's part for thinking they need to prove something. Who you are you should always be and if you think you can make yourself better be better for yourself.

Because men can be very stubborn and they won't beleive us. We are actually a lot stronger than they are. Can men carry a baby for 9 months. No they can't and they never will.

You can't, but you don't have to. You are an "Officially Oppressed Minority", as a woman, and get special consideration.
