Be careful- for high-powered electronics like the PS2 (and laptops, etc), you need a 2-part converter- simply adapting the plug won't work. Also, be sure that your converter set is equipped to handle the surge that will occur when you turn your PS2 on. Look for one rated for large appliances, rather than the typical "hair dryer" model.

You should be able to use, it but you won't be able to use DVD's or games from the states because they are regionally coded. You can get a chip put into the playstation though so you can play games and DVD's from any region though.

nope... american play-station 2 gadget is understand as NTSC british play-station 2 is customary as chum. NTSC and chum video games have distinct formats (i imagine its stupid that sony did that) and could no longer artwork. so dont purchase a chum recreation once you've an NTSC play-station 2 and do not purchase NTSC video games once you've a chum play-station 2 that is going to easily be a waste of money

Yes, but you'll need enough wattage. I burned out a previous converter which had a max of 50 watts, and had to buy a new one which has a max of 100 watts.

As long as the "universal power adapter" converts from 110-115V to 220V (which is what YOUR ps2 needs), yes.
You won't be able to play US games, though -- but you knew that already, right? :)

Possibly, but it might not work if you are trying to play US region games on it. You can only play the games for the region of the machine on that machine.
